I can't really explain it so I made a scruffy Photoshop of what I mean: Just a few suggestions: I'd like to be able to make some crazy track banks, so maybe when turning the wheel (or whatever you call it) on the bank tool when creating a coaster, whichever way you drag the slider should keep banking rather than snapping to banking from the other side. ![]() Underground pathways are an absolute blessing, and the method of building rides is like a simpler NoLimits, which I've always wanted (since building one ride on that takes at least an hour). I love the combination of RCT2 and RCT3 with some wonderful, imaginative ideas thrown in. ![]() And I expected bugs since it's in pre-alpha so I'm not bothered really. Last one! I went to build a big loop on an inverted coaster and this happened:Īnyway, aside from these few bugs, it is a truly brilliant game. When building track on ground level (height 3) I don't like how you can't bank without making a tunnel, I mean there's a need for a tunnel at over 90 degrees, but at like 45 degrees you shouldn't really need one. I dunno if I'm just building wrong, but when I try to do a helix on almost every ride type, it comes up red and says location occupied. Shouldn't it run better? I'm not a games expert but is this an error with the game and can it be fixed? Or is something wrong with my computer? I have 8GB Ram, 3.9Ghz AMD A8-6600K APU, and an AMD Radeon HD 8570D 2GB graphics card (DDR3). Not a bug as such, but I experience a lot of lag when I get over 500-ish guests. When making all the guests leave the park, a whole bunch of them carried on walking around, sitting on benches, going on rides etc. Not a huge problem because I've fixed them all now, but it was a little bit of a pain in the arse! I'm guessing that this is because of the new feature of connecting ride entrances/exits from the sides, but it also made my mechanics get stuck when trying to fix and maintain rides. This has happened a few times so far and it is pretty annoying, so I'd love to see that patched in the next update!Īfter I updated to Pre Alpha 8, I went into one of my parks and a lot of the entrances and exits were messed up. After this happens once I have to quit the game because it does the same thing if I click on anything from that point. ![]() (uncommon) When clicking on a ride or shop, it comes up instead with a random guest or worker's info. After I'll give some feedback and suggestions. But of course, as expected in pre-alpha, there's a couple of really annoying bugs and other stuff. If there's any Parkitect devs here, I'd just like to say you've made an amazing game already and its in pre-alpha! Can't wait to see how it grows. I definitely missed some, but these are the ones from the other threads plus or minus a few. It's worth noting that Planet Coaster's system requirements are pretty hefty in comparison to Parkitect, and you have to exceed the minimum requirements by a fair margin to have a good experience with large parks and many items. If you're just craving Roller Coaster Tycoon but with a simplistic and modern art style, Parkitect is up your alley. Parkitect nails the feel of classic 2d isometric theme park simulation games, with more of a focus on business management, and less distractions to get in the way. If you're the type of person that wants to spend an hour to make sure the lighting and foliage placement for your coaster queue area is perfect, Planet Coaster is for you. Planet Coaster is an incredible visual sandbox that gives you an immense level of control of just about every design aspect of your park. Both are great titles depending on what you are looking for.
